About Clearthis Entertainment
ClearThis Entertainment is a subsidiary of ION Music Administration LLC. ION Music Administration LLC was founded in 2002 as a publishing administration and consulting company, but immediately realized another need - for a music license clearance company that understood both the position of the licensee and publishing company. As new music technology has developed, this need of mutual understanding has grown tremendously. ION Music Administration LLC began to grow not only helping the needs of songwriters and publishers, but also helping record companies, digital music services, digital distributors and many other companies with the license clearance process.
As the ION Music Administration LLC clientele began to include more and more record labels, digital distributors, digital content managers, etc., we felt a need to establish a new subsidiary solely concentrating on licensing and publisher royalties. In 2009, ION Music Administration LLC established ClearThis Entertainment to meet this need.
ClearThis Entertainment helps secure licenses for all types of uses. As we understand the needs of publishers in the licensing process, we can help secure licensing more efficiently. We seek to develop on-going relationships between licensee and publisher as we retain all licenses in the licensee’s name. We allow for full transparency in the licensing process by submitting monthly reports. We work with any content managers our clients may be working with to directly upload the licenses we have obtained into their systems, as well as directly uploading licenses into our client’s current in-house systems. Our company also helps with royalty statements and royalty statement distribution to each of the involved publishers. ClearThis Entertainment works together with our clients for a smooth process of clearances and royalty distribution in a world of copyrights where obtaining licenses can seem like rough terrain.
